Jackson Campbell

CHICKAMAUGA — Jackson C. Campbell, 94, went home to be with his Lord on Monday, April 16, 2018. He was born to the late James H. and Susan Wallace Campbell in Chickamauga, lived many years in Union City, Ga., and attended the former Wallaceville Methodist Church. He served his country in the U.S. Army during W.W. II under General Patton, was a member of the American Legion Post 0217, Chickamauga. Jackson was also preceded in death by his loving wife, May Hart Campbell; and brothers, James H. Campbell Jr. and Edward Allen Campbell. He is survived by his sister, Ann Scott, of Chickamauga; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 20, 2018, at Chattanooga National Cemetery, with Military Honors. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and prior to leaving for the cemetery on Friday. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to the Sixth Calvary Museum at www.6thcalvaerymuseum.org. The family would also like to thank the staff at Tapestry Hospice, Dr. William Horton and the Center for Advanced Rehabilitation at Parkside, for the care and support during this difficult time.
