Diane Harvey
HUNTSVILLE — Diane Stephanouk Harvey, 87, passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2018, after a long battle with cancer.
She was born to the late William and
Phyllis Haynes. Diane was born and raised in Chattanooga, Tenn., and moved to Huntsville in the 1960s to work in the aerospace industry where she spent almost four decades
supporting Huntsville’s scientist and engineers writing and illustrating documents and
manuals. Most notably, while working for Teledyne Brown, she illustrated many of the manuals used by the astronauts on the first shuttle space flight.
Diane is survived by her two sons, Paul Stephanouk (Sharon), of Austin, TX and
Alex Stephanouk (Allison), of Columbus, Ga.; five grandchildren, Nicole, William, Catherine, Ian, and Natalie; and two younger brothers, Bill Haynes (Shelia), of Valdosta, Ga., and Jan Haynes (Kathy), of Ruskin, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her first
husband of 35 years, Eugene Stephanouk; and her second husband of 12 years, Hal Harvey.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 21, Laughlin Service
