Cheryl George

Cheryl Lynn George, 64, of Hixson, Tenn., went to be with the Lord early Tuesday morning, April 17, 2018, after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was a strong woman of great faith and character, and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Cheryl was a Certified Case Manager for UNUM. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Gill; father, Fred Gill; in-laws, Cecil and Katherine George; and son, Brad Huskey. Survivors include her husband, Doug George; daughter and son-in-law, Courtney and Brian Garland; grandsons, Bradley, Noah, and Crew Garland; brother, Terryl Greene; sister, Deborah Hester; nieces and nephews, Jessica Towe, Cody Greene, Greg Hester, and Griffin and Porter Towe; aunt, Linda Knight; sister-in-law, Shannon McCulley and family; and special lifelong friend, Shirley Pond. Special thanks to Memorial North Park 3rd floor staff and doctors and to Hospice of Chattanooga for their loving care of Cheryl.
