Marshall Whiteaker

Marshall R. Whiteaker, Jr. departed this world on Saturday, April 21, 2018, and is now walking hand-in-hand with his wife Carol in God's world. He was a faithful member of Abba's House, where he joyed in his participation in his life group. If there was any regret in his life, it was that he waited so long before he became such a witness to others on God's love. Marshall was born in Springfield, Ohio and served in the US Navy. He retired after 26 years with the Department of Defense where he worked, as an engineer on aviation technology at many different locations across the Country. After retiring, he and Carol moved to Tennessee in order to be with family. Marshall is survived by his son, Marshall III; and daughter, Kristen (Ken) Wilkerson; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at Abba's House on Monday, April 23, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The service will be on Tuesday at 12 p.m. with burial to follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family would like to thank Hearth Hospice and caregiver, Wanda for the love and compassion shown during his final days. Arrangements are by Covenant Funeral & Crematory; Crox family owned and operated, www.CovenantFuneral.com.
