Ovetta Owens

Ovetta “Ms. Dit” Owens, 93, departed this earthly life on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, in a local hospital. Survivors include her husband, Luther Owens Jr.; daughter, Emily Southers; son, James Owens; devoted granddaughter and caregiver, Cather “Cookie” Coleman; devoted grandsons, Rodney Southers (Juanyale), Brandon Owens, and James Ballard; a host of other relatives and friends. She will lie-in-state Wednesday, April 25, 2018, after noon. Funeral service will be held Thursday, April 26, at 11 a.m. in the chapel with Rev. Delois Nelson officiating and Rev.
