Stella Cavin
RINGGOLD — Stella Cavin, 72, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday April 28, 2018.
Mrs. Cavin was born in Dekalb County Alabama on Aug. 25, 1945, a
daughter of the late Terry and Minnie Ola Kilgore Bowling. She has lived in Ringgold for the past 40 years. Mrs. Cavin was a member of New Liberty
Baptist Church where she taught the Dorcas Sunday School Class. She and her husband Glenn served several area churches such as New Shepherd Hill in
Ooltewah, Poplar Springs Baptist Church in Ringgold, Calvary in Dalton and
First Baptist Church in Reynolds, Ga. Her greatest joy was serving her family,
children and the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Marvin Bowling and sister, Corene
Pasqualetti.
Survivors are her loving husband of 56 years, Rev. Glenn Cavin; daughters,
Anita Peters and Janice (LeVaughn) Morrow of Ringgold; brothers, Henry
Bowling and James “Buddy” Bowling; sisters, Theora Rogers, Fay Thurmond,
Lorene Shaw and Beatrice Shaw; grandchildren, Jeremy Peters, Chloe Morrow
and Justin (Heather) Morrow, several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday at Anderson Memorial Gardens
with Rev. Danny Henson officiating.

The family will receive friends Sunday, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and 10 a.m. to
11 a.m. Monday at Heritage Funeral Home and Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
