Everett Pettie

Everett (Pat) William Pettie passed away Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2018. Pat was born in Marvell, Ark., to Maggie Davis Pettie and Albert Lee Pettie. He was married to his wife, Alma Jean King for 69 years. And for over 40 years he was a member of Green’s Lake Road Church of Christ. He worked for Christ Craft for 25 years as supervisor. He then used his carpentry skills for his cabinet business until he became a blueberry farmer in Birchwood, Tenn. After moving to their farm Pat attended Big Spring Church of Christ. Later in life he and wife, Alma Jean, moved to St. Petersburg, Fla., to be near their family, but Tennessee was always home. Pat was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Alma Jean King Pettie; son, James Pettie; brothers, Ervin and W.A. Pettie; and sister, Christine Pettie Gibson. He is survived by his daughter, Connie Pettie Boller of Seminole, Fla.; brother, Curtis Pettie; two granddaughters, Dr. Amanda Boller, and Virginia J. Boller Kauffman both of St. Petersburg, Fla.; 3 great-grandchildren, William Jude Boller, Adeline June Williams, and Theodore Joseph Kauffman. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Heart Association. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13, and 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14. Services are at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, at the Lane Funeral Home Chapel. Internment will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens East.
