Bryson Scott

Bryson Crete Scott, 14, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 9, 2018. He was known by family and friends as “B-man” and “Lashes”. He attended Mile Straight Baptist Church, Loftis Middle School and was to be a freshman at Soddy- Daisy High School. Bryson loved playing baseball. He played with the Generals winning the District Dizzy Dean two times, Tennessee State Dizzy Dean two times, runner-up in the 8U World Series in South Haven, Miss., third place in the Disney Wide World of Sports Diamond Brackett, winner of the 12U USSSA in Orange Beach, the 12U Smokey Mountain Classic and was all-county two years while playing for Loftis Middle School. Bryson also played basketball and loved to ride four wheelers and jet skis. He was preceded in death by his great grandparents Peggy Ann Sewell, Bud Varner, Shirley Lawson, Andy Sells and Leon Scott, and great uncle, Darrell “Butch” Lawson. Survivors are his parents, Josh Scott and Sonya and Brandon Hudgens; step-brothers, Bailey “Tater” Hudgens and Gavin “Peanut” Hudgens; grandparents, Carolyn “Dee Dee” and Kyle Varner, Elizabeth and Tom Gibson, Noel and Becky Scott, Bernnie and Harry King; great grandparents, Mabel Sells, Carroll “Bud” Lawson, Jean Lawson, Ruth Varner, Bill Sewell and Barbara and Gene Howard; aunts and uncles, Jessica Scott, Janie Burley, Ashley Varner and Mike and Stephanie Gibson; cousins, Kelsey Gibson, Cole Gibson and Kyla Tallent along with many other extended family. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2018, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2018, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Abba’s House. A celebration of Bryson’s life will be on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Abba’s House with Rev. Van Ferguson and Dr. Ronnie Phillips, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Steve Cliff, Steve Brown, Kurt Watson, Eric Hixson, Chip Ward, Bailey “Tater” Hudgens, Brandon Conner, Mike Gibson and Russ Brown.
