Frederick Grant

Frederick “Fred” Grant, 70, of Soddy-Daisy, Tenn., passed away on Aug. 11, 2018. He was of the Baptist faith and retired from Alstom/Combustion after being employed for 44 years. Fred enjoyed fishing, gardening and wood-working. He was a great father and very proud of his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Grant; mother, Mildred Grant; brother, Jerry A. Grant; sisters, Vicki Grant and Joy Grant. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carol Grant; sons, John (Lisa) Grant and Jerry Grant; grandchildren, Whitney Seals, Phoebe Grant, Mason Grant and Avery Grant; several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2018, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel. Family will have a private service. Arrangements are held by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
