Sally Bargerstock

Sally Joann Johnson Bargerstock, 86, went to be with the Lord and her son on Sunday Dec. 2, 2018, surrounded by family at a Chattanooga, Tenn. hospital. To this day she has remained a member of the Bull Creek Presbyterian Church in Tarentum, PA. Born in Natrona Heights, PA on Feb. 2, 1932 as the youngest child of Swedish immigrant parents Peter Olaf and Hilma Marie Svensson Johnson she served as a caregiving wife and mother while working in several careers in the Pittsburgh and Spartanburg, S.C. areas. Most recently, after a first phase of retirement in Leesburg, Fla. she has lived comfortably in a retirement second phase at the Alexian Village of Signal Mountain, Tenn. She has enjoyed the relaxing life there watching the many birds that visited their deck while closely following the lives of her five grandchildren. After a trip to her parent’s homeland in Sturka, Sweden, she has corresponded regularly with her Swedish cousins. Sally was preceded in death by her young son Eric Lee, parents, four sisters Martha Burtner, Gertrude Johnson, Dorothy Gibson, and Wilma Heutchy along with one brother Harvey Johnson. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Wayne Bargerstock as well as son Scott (Janie) Bargerstock of Hixson, Tenn. and daughter Leigh Anne (Richard) Busse of Camarillo, Calif. A joy in her life were her five grandchildren; Rachel (Josh) Kritner, Heidi Busse, Dylan Bargerstock, Billy Busse, and Sarah Bargerstock. In addition, there a great number of nieces and nephews. A Memorial service is planned at Alexian Village will be announced The funeral will be held in Natrona Heights, Penn. with burial next to her son Eric at the Bull Creek Cemetery in Tarentum, Penn.
