Norma Grindle
Norma Grindle, 92, of Chattanooga passed away Saturday, Dec. 8, 2018.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Norman Grindle; grandson, Bill (Billy) Creighton and nine brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her daughter, Sandra; granddaughter, Amy Creighton-Power and two great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Savannah Baptist Church in Ooltewah, an award winning member of ELMS Ladies Ministries, a member of Rock of Ages Ministries as well as a lifeguard and gymnast with the YMCA. She was a longtime sales associate at Proffitt’s Department Store as well as running her beauty salon from her home and was also a long time associate at Rick Davis Gold & Diamonds.
She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend loved by her community.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, Dec. 12 from 4 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Savannah Bay Baptist Church. Pastor Randy Chestnut will conduct the funeral in the church at 1 pm.
Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery at 14:30.
