LaFAYETTE — Cheryl Jill Ray, 72, passed away Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arvin Chamlee and Velma Shropshire Chamlee; and brother, Kenny Chamlee. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth “Ken” Ray, of LaFayette; daughters, Cheri (Brian) Bird, of Ringgold and Hope (Jason) Burgamy, of Woodstock, Ga.; grandchildren, Blaine Bird, Bryce Bird, Carson Burgamy, and Briley Burgamy; sister, Brenda Tripp, of Chickamauga; and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11, 2018, in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jimmy Weaver officiating. Following the service, family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
