Mildred Newman

Mildred M. Newman, 97, of Hixson, went to be with her Lord on Feb. 11, 2018. She was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, George Newman. Those left to cherish her memory include, sons, James Newman and his wife Nancy, and Ken Newman and his wife Joy; daughters, Karen Newman Rahn and her husband Robert, and Debra Newman Tornow and her husband Blaine; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great--grandchildren. The family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Lane Funeral Home on Ashland Terrace. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday in the Chapel, with the Rev. Evelyn Harris officiating. Interment will follow at Hamilton County Memorial Park.
