Barney Ivey

HENAGAR — Barney Milton Ivey, 94, died Tuesday, Feb. 13, at his residence. Funeral services are Friday at 1 p.m. CT at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel with Bro. C L Wilborn officiating. Burial will follow in Henagar Memorial Park with Military Honors and Masonic Rites. Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. until service time on Friday. Survivors include wife of 71 years, Nancy Lucille Whitmire Ivey; daughter, Anita Flynn (Michael); sons, Gary Ivey, Toney Ivey (Brenda); grandchildren, Scotter Ivey, Sherry Ellis (Jerry), Nathan Chandler, Christie Davis, Steve Flynn, Anthony Ivey, Casey Ivey (Emily); great-grandchildren, Michael Ivey (Carolyn), Aaron Ellis, Lexi Ivey, Morgan Flynn, Gracie Flynn, Natalie Davis, Mason Chandler, Carter Ivey; sister, Sue Wilson; brother-in-law, Donald Craze; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Ivey was a WWII veteran serving in the U.S. Army, a member of Macklin Baptist Church, Mahan Lodge 490 and American Leigon Post 39. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Russell "Pumpkin" and Brownie Mae LittleJohn Ivey; brother, Glen Ivey (Juanita); sisters, Mellie Tucker (Carter), Jean Ivey, Mildred Ivey, Pearl Ivey, Maxine Shankles (Elwood), Jo Craze; brother-in-law, Mark Wilson.
