Charles Barrett

CHICKAMAUGA — Charles E. Barrett, 82, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday Feb. 18, 2018. Charlie had worked several jobs as a mechanic and after he retired he was the owner/operator of his lawnmower shop. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Effie Barrett; siblings, Buck, George, Nell Mullis, H.D. “Boss”, and Bobby. Charles is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Betty Barrett; children, Robert (DeeAnn) Willis, of Ringgold, Kathy (Jeff) Scoggins, of Rock Spring, Terry (Marcia) Barrett, of Chickamauga and Michael Barrett, of Ft. Oglethorpe; sister, Betty Mann; several grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018, in LaFayette Memory Gardens, with Min. Alfred Holland and Min. Johnny Foster officiating. The family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday and prior to leaving for the cemetery on Wednesday. Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Home-J. Avery Bryan Chapel, Chickamauga.
