George Eberhart

George Eberhart, 89, peacefully passed on Jan. 6, 2018. He was born July 10, 1928, in Lexington, Ga., to the late John and Rosie Eberhart. He was a faithful member of First Baptist of Avondale, where he served as Trustee and choir under the leadership of the late Pastor J.W. Williams. He leaves to cherish his memories, loving wife, Catherine Eberhart, of 69 years; children, George (Rita) Eberhart, of Miami, Fla., Larry Eberhart, John (Myra) Eberhart, of Chattanooga; devoted daughter, Marcella Eberhart, of Chattanooga and Lawrence Eberhart, of Las Vegas, Nev.; sisters, Ruby Linton, Lucrecia Scott, both of Miami, Fla., and Evelyn Eberhart, of Athens, Ga.; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018, at 11 a.m. in the chapel. Visitation will take place 1 hour prior to the service. Interment: Forest Hills. John P.
