Linda Sue Rodgers

FORT OGLETHORPE — Linda Sue Blansett Rodgers, 67, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018, in a local hospital. Mrs. Rodgers was born in South Pittsburg, Tenn., on April 8, 1950, to the late Clyde and Carrie Blevins and has resided in the North Georgia area for several years. Linda was the owner-operator of B&R Grocery, in the East Lake Community of Chattanooga for 17 years. She was of the Baptist faith and loved her family, grandchildren, coffee and taking care of her garden. Her daughter, Tanya Green; three brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death. Linda also attended Bible Church of God in South Pittsburg, Tenn. Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Tommy E. Rodgers; son, Scottie (Sarah) Blansett; daughter, Tammy (Chad) Stainton; nine grandchildren, Zach, Kendal, Cody, Lori, Seth, Jonathon, Amelia, Catherine and Jackson; two great-grandchildren, Isaac and Emmalyn. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. (EST) on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018, at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, County Road 75, Bridgeport, Alabama with Pastor Vernon Coffman officiating.
