Charles Hindman

Charles “Wayne” Hindman, 69, of Cleveland passed away Jan. 22, 2018 at an area hospital. Wayne was retired from Chattanooga Police Department. He was extremely proud of his police brotherhood and his service to the department and the citizens he served. Wayne was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Hindman; and parents, Ruffie Paul and Neta Frady Hindman. Wayne is survived by his children, David Hindman of Charleston, SC, Daniel (Heather) Hindman of New Castle, Ind. and Jonathan Hindman of Cleveland, adopted son, Jason Cook of S.C.; grandchildren, Kantessa Hindman, Douglass Hindman, Ricky Hindman, Landon Beasley and Harley Quarles. A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home of Cleveland Friday, Jan. 26 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Tim Woody officiating. Interment will follow at Beaty Cemetery, Freewill Road, Cleveland. Members of the Chattanooga Police Department will serve as pallbearers and render honors.
