Frank Burkett

Frank Gene Burkett, 81, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018. Gene was born in Dalton, Ga., lived in Michigan and California, and returned to the south in 1979. Gene and his wife, Karen, were members at Ridgedale Baptist Church. Gene had a great love for cars, airplanes, and motorcycles. One of his greatest joys was singing praises to Jesus. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank Burkett and Eula Price Goss; and sister, Patsy Hall. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Karen; children, Susan Marquis, Price Burkett, Les Burkett, Wes Burkett, and Brett Webber; along with 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and niece, Terri Burkett. There will be a celebration of life memorial service Friday, Jan. 26, 2018, at 6 p.m. at Ridgedale Baptist Church, 1831 Hickory Valley Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421. There will be a visitation prior to the service from 4 to 6 p.m.
