Jeanetta Smith

GEORGETOWN — Jeanetta Sue Smith, 80, went to wait with the love of her life until Jesus comes to take them to heaven Jan. 21, 2018. She passed while at her daughter’s house surrounded by her family and her many silly grandchildren. Sue worked for peerless Woolen Mills and several years at Don & Barbra’s plants. She then took care of her husband, Darwin, during his sickness. Sue had many grandchildren that she helped take care of. She always loved to joke and play with her grandchildren. They will all miss her little pinches, pokes, and most of all her unconditional love, just like the love she had for her family. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She also loved the TN VOLS. GO VOLS! She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Darwin Smith; parents, Melba and John Childress; sister, Judy Verdon; brother, Ted Childress. She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Ronald) May; grandchildren, Butti May, Autumn Cook, Sage May, Loden May, Chase Stephens, Eris Stephens, Paisley May, Bo Cook, Molly-Ann Cook, Brylee May, and Jesse Manis.
