Edward Owen

Edward Allen Owen III, 71, passed away on Tuesday morning at a local hospital after a short illness. He was born Jan. 9, 1947, in Chattanooga, Tenn., to Elsie Ruth Owen and Edward Allen Owen Jr. Edward, or Mr. Ed as he was better known as attended Chattanooga Christian School, McCallie School, and he graduated from Central High School. He graduated with a degree in Business from The University of Central Florida. Mr. Ed loved the Vols, Nascar, and singing karaoke, and his beloved pets. He was preceded in death by his aforementioned parents. Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 42 years, Nancy Owen; his uncle, Paul Owen; several cousins, and many dear friends. A Celebration of Mr. Ed’s life will be held in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Sunday, July 15, 2018, at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 3 to 7 p.m. He will be laid to rest in the Chattanooga Memorial Park.
