Myrna Daniel

SOUTH PITTSBURG — Myrna Case Daniel, 76, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2018, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. She grew up in Alliance, Ohio, graduating from Marlington High school in 1960 before moving to the Tennessee Valley. She retired from Roper in 2005 and enjoyed her retirement by spending time with her family and going on cruises with friends. She was an avid Alabama football fan and enjoyed gardening, bird watching, and crocheting. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was married to Gerald Case from June 1965 until his death in December 1990 and James Daniel from May 1994 until his death in April 2008. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Thoburn and Pauline McHenry and brother, Stephen McHenry. Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Bonny Case, JB (Karen) Case and Jeri Lynn (Mike) Griffith; grandchildren, Tommy Rector, Michael Griffith, Tracey Elliott, Tiffany Case Allen, Zane Barnes, and Jade Case; great-grandchildren, Luke Rector, Cameron Griffith, Parker Elliott, Brantley Allen, Sydney Griffith and Elijah Allen; brothers and sisters, W.A. McHenry, Phil McHenry, Reta Martin, Naomi McHenry, and Alvin McHenry; companion, Kenneth Hookey and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be held at Tate Funeral Home Tuesday, July 31, 2018, from 3 to 8 p.m. CST. Funeral services will be conducted in the Tate Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2018, at 2 p.m. CST with Rev. Bruce Potter officiating. Interment will follow at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Tate Funeral Home LLC, Jasper, TN 37347.
