Edward Denny

Edward Curtis Denny, age 90 of Ooltewah, Tenn., went to sleep in death on Thursday, May 31, 2018, awaiting the soon return of Jesus. Ed was born in De Soto, Mo. and resided in the Knoxville, Tenn. area from 1954 until 2015 when he moved to Ooltewah. He was a member of the Knoxville First Seventh-day Adventist Church serving in a number of offices and an Elder in the church. He retired from Martin Lockheed after working as a physicist at the K-25 and Y-12 plants for over 30 years. He enjoyed many hobbies including amateur radio, computers and magic (he was an Excalibur member of the International Brother of Magicians and a founder of the Knoxville Ring). He was a member of the Knoxville Choral Society for over 30 years. He was preceded in death by two wives, Beverly Jean Huffines Denny (to whom he was married 61 years) and Elizabeth Clara Roundy. He is survived by three sons and spouses, Edward, Jr. of Knoxville, Tenn., Stephen and Rosa of Alvarado, Texas and David and Corinne of Olney, Md.; grandchildren, Philip and Alysha of Richmond, Va., Michael of Dallas, Texas, Katherine and Stephen Aleshire of Mechanicsville, Va., and Kevin, Robin, Jason, and Danielle of Olney, Md.; great-grandsons, Harrison Aleshire of Mechanicsville, Va. and Asa Denny of Richmond, Va. A memorial service will be held in Collegedale, Tenn. at a later date. He will be buried in Knoxville, Tenn. next to Beverly Denny.
