FORT OGLETHORPE — Rodney Maurice Hill Jr., 27, passed away on June 17, 2018. Survivors are his parents, Rodney Maurice Hill Sr. and Sonya Roche Southern Hill, of Tampa; brother, Clifford Rasheed Hill, of Fort Oglethorpe; three children, Rodney III, RaeLynn, and Ayden; grandparents, James and Reba Southern Sr., of Chickamauga, Ga., and Thomas Earl and Carolyn Stallings, of Chattanooga; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2018, at 1 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 427 Southern Road, Chickamauga, with Pastor Rev. William Tramble Jr. officiating. His remains will lie-in-state at the funeral home on Thursday after 1 p.m. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment, Garmany Cemetery.
