Tim Parker
FLAT ROCK — Timothy Ray Parker Sr., born May 14, 1952, went to his heavenly home on March 6, 2018. He was a beloved husband, father, and granddaddy.
He was a faithful servant of God and was a member of the Free Holiness faith for 34 years. His relationship with God was most important to him. His favorite topics were God and his beloved wife.
He was an accomplished and awarded professional in the automotive transport industry. He was employed by the largest automotive transport company, Jack Cooper Transport,
formerly known as Allied Systems, for more than twenty-eight years. He was awarded
numerous times for safety and professionalism. He was a runner-up in the National Truck
Driving Championship.
He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Ray Parker, and brother, Thomas Wayne
Parker.
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Kay Black Parker; daughter,
Kristi (Tim) Voiles; son, Timothy (Natasha) Parker II; daughter, Brittany (Andrew)
Cardin; grandchildren, Allyson, Cannon, Anniston, Lincoln, Callie, Benjamin, Audrey; mother, Sharon Parker; sister, Melinda (Carnice) Taber; sister, Melissa (Chris) Griggs;
sister, Melita (Brian) Whiting; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. EST Saturday, March 10, 2018, in the Trenton
Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Bobby House, Brother Aaron Wooten, and Brother Mark Finlayson officiating. Burial will follow at Lake Hills Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held Thursday, 2 to 8 p.m.; Friday, 2 to 8 p.m.; Saturday, noon to 2 p.m.
