Ruth Hornsby

Ruth Henley Hornsby, 93, of Chattanooga, passed away on Friday, March 16, 2018. She was born on May 26, 1924 in Spring City, Tenn. Ruth was a member of East Ridge United Methodist Church, the young at Heart Sunday School Class, and the Quilter’s Guild in Chattanooga. She is survived by her children, Rodney (Connie) Hornsby, Richard Dale Hornsby, Donna Gail O’Kelley; daughter-in-love, Deborah F. Hornsby; three grandsons and 1 step-grandson. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, March 19, 2018, at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Ken Sauer officiating. Family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the staff at NHC Chattanooga for their love and care they gave to Ruth. In lieu of flowers, the family asked that donations be made in Ruth’s name to a charity of your choice.
