PISGAH — Zack Carter, 71, passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2018, at his second home in Chattanooga, Tenn. Funeral is Thursday, March 22, 2018, at 1 p.m. (cst) from Kerby Funeral Home with Rev. Bud Durham and Rev. Randy Grider officiating. Burial will follow in New Home Cemetery. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. (cst) and Thursday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. (cst). He is survived by wife, Fran Carter, of Henagar; sons, Tony Carter and wife Eva, of Chattanooga, Drew Presley and wife Kristine Russell, of Louisville; daughter, Farah Stover and husband Tim, of Cookeville; sister, Dorothy Wicks, of Pensacola; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; He was preceded in death by parents, Boyd E. and Artie G. Carter; son, Little Zack Carter; brothers, U. David Carter, Hugh Carter, Boyd E. Carter, Fred Carter, Troy Carter, Lonnie Cater, and Loyd Carter.
