Reed Brown

FORT OGLETHORPE — Reed Douglas Brown Sr., 90, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 17, 2018. He was of the Baptist faith. He was the son of the late Willie Reed and Stella Mae McLain Brown. Reed was a WWII veteran serving in the U.S. Navy. He loved the outdoors and living life to the fullest. He was preceded in death by his wives, Bonnie Brown and Trudy Brown; son, Richard Lee Brown. He is survived by his son, Reed Brown Jr.; sister, Wanda (Bob) Bowling; brother, Charles Brown; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, March 22, 2018, at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with the Rev. Bob Borger officiating with military honors. Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
