Audrie Walden

NIOTA — Audrie Lea Morrow Walden, 72, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at her residence. A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was the daughter of the late David Lee and Ida Marie Partain Morrow. She was a creative painter and attended arts and craft festivals throughout the state. She also taught arts and craft classes and was an avid reader. Audrie retired from Walden Trucking as executive manager and was a member of Double Springs Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Eddie Walden, of Niota; two daughters and sons-in-law, Janet Walden-West and husband Steven, of Niota, Amy Cooley and husband Jamey, of Niota; four grandchildren, Aleisha Womac, Austin Cooley, Connor West and Brendan West; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Ziegler Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Lewis officiating. Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday in Niota Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
