Howard Shipp

RINGGOLD — Howard Kenneth “Ken” Shipp, Jr., 77, passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2018. He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga Area and a graduate of Chattanooga Central High School, class of 1959. Ken was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed crafting plaques and figurines out of wood, and gardening plants. He also served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves and was a loving father, grandfather and brother, who will be greatly missed. Ken was preceded in death by his wife, Pat Hall Shipp, parents, Howard K. Shipp, Sr. and Frances E. Ramsey. He is survived by his children, Scott (Kim) Shipp and Stacy (Brian) White, sister, Teena Shipp Gamble, grandchildren, Cory Shipp, Reece Nixon, Brad White, Aaron White, Sydney White and Paige White, great grandchildren, Brody Shipp and Luna Mae Shipp and nieces Neena Harper Livingston and Kari Harper Grier. A private family memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Arrangements by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home-Ft. Oglethorpe.
