Alva Jolley

IGER — Alva Glenn "Buddy" Jolley, 85, died Saturday, May 12, at De Kalb Regional Medical Center. Funeral services are Thursday at 11 a.m. at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel with Bro. Luke McKay and Bro. Kenneth Holcomb officiating.  Burial will follow in Fuller Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Trenton American Legion Honor Guard.  Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. until service time on Thursday. Survivors include wife, Sue Jolley; son, John Jolley; daughters, Shannon Chapman (Mick), Beth Woods (Steve), Diana Flynn (Charles); daughter-in-law, Phyllis Jolley; grandchildren, Laura Hale, Amanda Edwards, Joseph Tullis, Joshua Woods, Greg Jolley, Aaron Jolley, Robbie Bethune; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Imogene Greene (Clyde), Margaret Griffin, Linda Jolley; numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Jolley was a 1953 graduate of Ider High School, was a Korean War veteran, retired from Combustion Engineering after 32 years, but continued to farm with his son Glenn.
