Florida Morris

MEMPHIS — Florida (“Flo”) Gee Morris, affectionately known as “Baby Sister”, was born in Gainsville, Ala., on Sept. 17, 1941, to the late Lewis and Bertha Gee. After a courageous three (3) year battle with Parkinson’s Disease, Flo passed away peacefully on May 11, 2018, surrounded by those who loved her dearly. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, James Louis Gee. Flo is survived by her loving daughter, Mary Louise Bright (Chip); and beautiful granddaughter, Madison; brothers, James Arthur Gee (Dot) and David Gee (Arkadella). Funeral arrangements are as follows: Visitation will be held at Serenity Funeral Home located at 1638 Sycamore View Road, Memphis, TN 38134, from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, May 18, 2018. Ivy Beyond the Wall Ceremony will be held at 6:08 p.m. Homegoing Celebration will be held at Morning Chapel Missionary Baptist Church located at 8701 Trinity Ave., Cordova, TN 38016 on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Memorial Park, located at 5668 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN 38119, with the memorial reception held at Morning Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family has set up an educational fund through the Women’s Foundation for a Greater Memphis.
