Wendy Philpott

Wendy Lynn Philpott, 45, passed away on May 18, 2018, at home in Chattanooga, Tenn. A mother, a daughter, a sister, and a friend, Wendy was taken from us suddenly in her sleep. Though small in stature, Wendy was large in spirit. From birth, she was a true songbird, constantly bringing joy to those around her with God given gift. Wendy was a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, in Pasadena, Calif. Her career as an actress led to her play the role in a number of Hollywood musicals, while landing roles in numerous commercials, and also claiming the spot of the quirky coffee shop girl on the show Third Rock from the Sun. Wendy left her acting career to move closer to family in Chattanooga, Tenn. She spent years working at Shoe Candy, a very fitting job for a fashionista. Then went on to become the manager Hixson Starbucks and more recently has successfully found her place in the insurance business. Wendy was the proud and loving mother of Ryland Schlichting, a beautiful and talented young lady, and student at the Center for Creative Arts.
