Elizabeth Sugita
RINGGOLD — Elizabeth Sliger Sugita, 95, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 21, at her home in Ringgold, Ga.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Itola Sliger; and
her brother, Robert Sliger Jr.
She was born in north Chattanooga and graduated from
Chattanooga High School in 1942. She was a very active member of the Second Presbyterian
Church downtown Chattanooga for more than 70 years and was also an enthusiastic fan of the
Chattanooga Symphony Orchestra for more than 60 years.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Yoshi Sugita, Ringgold; and her relatives, Michelle
and Steve Forgaty and their children, Alex, Brandon, and Mathew, of Nashville; Martha Crouse, Paul and Diann Crouse, Erin and Mike McGuire, Atlanta; Debbie and Glenn Anderson, Autumn
and Richard Boatwright, Raleigh, N.C.; Jewell Anderson, Savanna, Ga.; Jim and Mary Dunn, Dandridge, Tenn.; Jim and Kim Dunn, Flowery Branch, Ga.
Funeral services will be private.
