HENAGAR — John Henry Bowling, 90, died Thursday, May 24, 2018, at Crowne Health Care. Funeral services Sunday at 3 p.m. at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel with Bro. David Gifford officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday and noon until service time on Sunday. Survivors include children, Charlotte Heitt (Scotty), Sheila Brewer, Beverly Bowling; stepchildren, Ivan O'Dell, Tim O'Dell (Darlece), Everett Hall; siblings, James Bowling (Linda), Theora Rogers, Faye Thurmond, Beatrice Shaw (Fred), Lorene Shaw; grandchildren, Lorri Watkins-Perez (Jon), Keith Watkins (Pam), Sherri Shrader Reed, Sharon Mayes (Mark), Tammy Gifford (David), Laura Smith (Will); step-grandchildren, Matt O'Dell (Kelley), Daniel O'Dell (Laura), Halee O'Dell(Anthony), Jessi O'Dell, Kerri Hall Smith (Jonathan); eight great-grandchildren; 11 stepgreat-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren. Mr. Bowling was preceded in death by his parents, Terry and Ola Bowling, wives, Lorene Newell Bowling, Velma Brown O'Dell Bowling; children, John Paul Bowling, Betty Lou Bowling; siblings, Marvin Bowling, Corene Morgan, Stalla Cavin; stepchildren, Rita O'Dell Hall and Janet O'Dell.
