RISING FAWN — Joseph Allen Towns, 85, passed away May 23, 2018. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Polly Towns; great-grandson, Wyatt Mooneyham; parents, Dee and Evelyn Towns; sister, Mary Privitt; brother, Howard Towns. He is survived by his daughter, Loretta (Jerry) Floyd, Rising Fawn, Ga.; sons, Carleton Towns, Rising Fawn, Ga., Jeff (Kathy) Towns, Trenton, Ga.; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Maggie Black, Ruby Green, and Audrey Gibbs; brothers, Frank Towns, David Towns, and Roger Towns; nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. EDT Sunday, May 27, 2018, in the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Mark Finlayson officiating. Interment will be held in Prince Cemetery.
