Eddie Crabtree

PALMER — Palmer – Mr. Charles Edman “Eddie” Crabtree, 62, passed away, Saturday May 26, 2018, in a automobile accident. He was born in Whitwell, Tenn. on July 29, 1955. He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Edman Crabtree; son, James Brandon Crabtree; brother, Roger Troy Crabtree. Eddie had worked with his father and brother operating the Sour Wood Coal Company and was a cattle farmer. He currently owned and operated CCR Enterprises in Jasper, Tennessee along with his son Drew, selling heavy equipment. He is survived by his wife, Rita Smartt Crabtree; son, Drew (Paulina) Crabtree; mother, Edna Gipson Crabtree; granddaughter, Charlee Crabtree; sisters, Diana Gillespie and Melinda (Tim) Layne; several loving neices and nephews. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers, Bill and Tim Smith and Dennis Rollins officiating with burial to follow in the Palmer Cemetery.
