Jean Watts

Jean Marie Watts, 71 of Chattanooga passed away on Oct. 30, 2018. She was of the Baptist faith and retired from BellSouth Telephone. Jean was an avid animal lover, especially cats. She spent a lot of time aiding and rescuing cats. Preceding Jean in death are her parents, James and Hula Watts. Left behind to cherish Jean’s memory are her brother Jim (Virginia) Watts, Nieces, Linda (Patrick) Harris, Jeanne (Jason) Harris, great nieces, Ali Kirby and Abby Harris, great nephews, Ryan and Mark Harris, and special friends, Dennis and Mable. A Celebration of Jean’s Life will be held in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Thursday Nov. 8, 2018, at 3 p.m. with Rev. Waylon Stewart officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m. until service time. She will be laid to rest with her parents in the Loudon Memorial Gardens at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial contributions be made in Jean’s memory to the Pet Placement Center, 5975 Dayton Blvd, Chattanooga, Tenn. 37415.
