Sarah Lewis

Sarah Inez Lewis - 90, of Chattanooga, Tenn., passed away Friday, Nov. 9, 2018, at a local health care facility. She was born in Cross Roads, Ala. to the late Marvin A. and Lyda Gibbs. She was preceded in death by her husband, H. Van Lewis, son, Larry Van Lewis, daughter, Debbie Sue Crisp, sister, Mary Ellen Hixson and two brothers, Marvin A. Gibbs, Jr., and Rex Gibbs. Sarah was a member of Silverdale Baptist Church. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed cooking for them. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Randy Lewis (Kathy), of Acworth, Ga., daughter-in-law, Anita Lewis, of Chattanooga, Tenn., four grandchildren, Wayne Crisp (Stefanie), Kevin Lewis, David Lewis, Ashley Satterfield (Clint), three great Grandchildren, Trevor Crisp, Brianna Crisp, Olivia Satterfield, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018, in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Eddie Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018, at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the staff of Life Care Center of Collegedale for their compassionate and loving care.
