Daniel Weiss
Daniel Richard Weiss, 94, died Nov. 7, 2018, in Chattanooga, Tenn. He was born July 27, 1924, in Aurora, Ill.
He served in the 20th Armored Division in
Europe during World War ll. Upon discharge in 1946, he attended James Millikin
University, Decatur, Ill., where he met his wife of more than 70 years, BettyAnn Belshaw. After a brief time with Spencer Kellogg and Continental Can Co he was employed at Reynolds Metals Company Can Division as Plant Manager
in Houston Texas, Woodbridge, N.J., and Richmond, Va., plus special assignments in
South America and Puerto Rico.
Upon retiring in 1987, he enjoyed golf for over 2 decades in Deland, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother William.
He is survived by
his wife, Betty Ann; daughters, Laurie Schwartz (James), Susan Scates (Paul); and son, Richard Scott (Cindy).
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Nov. 17, 2018, at 11 a.m. at First-Centenary Methodist Church, 419 McCallie Ave., Chattanooga, TN 37402
with visitation 10 to 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Children’s Enrichment Center (CEC) at First-Centenary Methodist Church.
