Valerie Lewis

Valerie Paige Blancett Lewis, 41, passed away Monday, Nov. 5, 2018, in Morristown. Tenn. Formerly of Chattanooga, she had lived in the Lakeway area since 2007. She was a graduate of Red Bank High School and received her Associates Degree from Chattanooga State. Despite multiple medical issues she lived life to the fullest with joy and laughter. Lately she was happiest when she was singing with friends at local Karaoke events. She was a two-time childhood cancer survivor and was proud to be a St Jude patient. She is survived by her mother, Jean Garth Brooks; half-brothers Matthew Brooks and Benjamin Brooks from Chattanooga, Tenn.; and her best friends, Mike Henley and his family of Talbott, Tenn. She also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Her father was Robert Larry Blancett who preceded her in death. Memorial donations can be made in her honor to St Jude Children’s Resource Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
