Gayle Allen

Gayle S. Allen, 86, Lookout Mountain, a resident of Thrive at Browwood, died peacefully at home on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2018. A native of Pittsburgh, Mrs. Allen was a longtime resident of Powell, Ohio where she worked with her husband Jim for the John H. Evans Company. An avid traveler, she visited Europe, the U.K. and Russia and traveled extensively across the US. She cherished many close friends from her years in western Pennsylvania, Ohio and more recently on Lookout Mountain. Gayle is survived by three sons; Jeffrey, Michael, and Eric Kramer, her daughter-in-law Meg Kramer, four grandchildren; Sarah Kovack, Elizabeth, Thomas, and Kara Kramer and two great grandchildren; Levi and Lucy Kovack. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Mabel Stepp, her brother Gary Stepp, her first husband Blair R. Kramer, and second husband James M. Allen. Mrs. Allen’s ashes will be interned at Bush Run Cemetery in Peters Township, Pennsylvania. Memorials can be sent to the Thrive Memorial Fund 37 Brock Drive Lookout Mountain, Ga. 30750.
