Winona Bean

Winona Margaret Evans Bean, 96, passed away in Kingwood, Texas on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2018, at 2:48 p.m. She was born in Rockwood, Tenn. on April 1, 1922, to Mary Rohaney and Water T. Evans, Sr. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Evans, Sr. and Rohaney P. Evans, husband of 62 years, Raymond R. Bean, sister, Reba E. Coulter, brothers, Harry C. Evans and W.T. (Dub) Evans, Jr. and special niece, Peggy Evans Atkinson and special nephew, James Coulter. She is survived by sons Nelson R. Bean and wife Sandy of Kingwood (Houston), Texas, Winston E. Bean and wife Conchita, of Belaire (Houston), Texas, grandson Jason C. Bean of Kingwood, Texas, granddaughter Laura Bean of Kingwood, Texas, Lucie E. Bean Smith and Husband Carey of Round Rock (Austin), Texas, Tracy Puhlman and husband Eric, Alison Van Winkle and husband Devin, all of Chattanooga, Tenn. Special niece and nephews, Marlene C. Knowles and Husband Bill, Hamilton County Clerk, of Chattanooga, Tenn., June Coulter of Leesburg, Virginia, W. T. “Tommy” Evans II and wife Darlene of Ringgold, Ga., Len Bean and Wife, Jan, of Rossville, Ga., Bill Atkinson of Cocoa Beach, Fla. Surviving great grandchildren are Giada and Maxwell Puhlman, Leo and Dillon Van Winkle all of Chattanooga, Tenn., Jackson Bean of Kingwood, Texas, Grayson and Ashley Smith of Round rock, Texas and several dearly loved great nieces and nephews. Celebration of Life services were held at Darst Funeral Home in Kingwood, Texas 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2018. A second service will be held in Chattanooga, Tenn. 12:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, 2018, at Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery next to her husband of 62 years, Raymond R. Bean. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas and First Church of the Nazarene, Chattanooga, Tenn.
