Carolyn Hargis

Carolyn Moats Trussell Hargis, died Friday, Oct. 12, 2018, in a Chattanooga hospital following a recent illness. She had worked in the insurance industry for many years and was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Hazel Mildred Sexton Moats, her first husband, Jeffrey Allen Trussell; brothers, Woody Moats Jr. and Paul Moats; sister, Mary Cagle; and dear uncle, Paul Padgett. She is survived by her husband, Gene Hargis, of South Pittsburg, Tenn.; children, Kelly (Lindsey) Condra, of Jasper, Tenn., and Allen (Kim) Trussell, of South Pittsburg, Tenn.; stepson, Gene Hargis; grandchildren, Coty Trussell, Caitlin (Andrew) Wayne, Cassia Trussell, Cameron Trussell, Caleb Condra, and Jourdan Condra; step-grandchildren, Sara Hargis and Mason Hargis; great-grandchildren, Fisher and Maddie Wayne, and Adalyn Trussell; sisters, Opal Smith, Ann Holland, and Susie Sharp; special friend, Donna Horton; several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will gather for a memorial service at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2018, at 2 p.m. Central time. Rev. David Swanner and Rev.
