Grace Floyd

ROCK SPRING — Grace Brown Floyd, 89, of Rock Spring went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 18, 2018. She was born in DeKalb County, Alabama and was a resident of North Georgia for most of her life. Mrs. Floyd was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church for 53 years and worked as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. She was an avid gardener and was known to have one of the prettiest yards in town. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Floyd; son, Nolan Knowles; along with eight brothers and sisters. Survivors include her children, Danny (Cheryl) Knowles, Mike (Janice) Knowles, Bonita Costner; daughter in laws, Lisa Knowles and Teresa; step-son, Ray (Anita) Floyd; grandchildren, Tonya, Rod, Christie, Hayley, Brittney, Michael Lee, William, Stephen, Blake, Sandy, Sally, Ray and Jeffrey; 33 great-grandchildren; 4 great great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 3 PM Monday at the funeral home chapel with Rev. R.C. Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.
