Audrey Schanke

Audrey May Schanke, 92, of Harrison, Tennessee passed away Thursday, Oct. 25, 2018. She was born on Jan. 20, 1926, to the late Otto and Lottie Erickson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Schanke, three sisters, a brother and two grandchildren. Survivors include her daughters, Anita (Bob) McGrath of Harrison, Tennessee and Alberta (Henry) Cross of Tulsa, Oklahoma, grandchildren Atina (Eric) Tinkham of Apison, Tenn., April (Jesse) Bruegger of Madison, Wisconsin, Dwight (Melissa) Cross of Tulsa, Okla. and Bobby (Katie) McGrath of McDonald, Tenn., 11 great- grandchildren and one great- great- granddaughter. Audrey was an active member of the Baraboo Seventh-day Adventist church in Wisconsin where she served as a clerk and in the Dorcus Society and Apison Seventh-day Adventist church in Tennessee. She loved crocheting hats for the homeless and reading her Bible. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 4, 2018, at Apison Seventh-day Adventist church, 11421 Bates Road, Apison, Tenn. 37302. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 4, 2018, at the church with Pastor Frankie Martinez officiating. Interment will be at a later date at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Baraboo, Wis.
