LAFAYETTE — Jasper “J.W.” William Brown, 71, passed away Friday, Sep. 7, 2018. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a Purple Heart recipient. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Mary Brown of LaFayette; daughters, Twana Murphree of Rocky Face, Betty (Jeff) Ross of Tunnel Hill, Judy Hale, Olivia (Damon) Maher and Marlena (Johnny Jr.) Stephens all of LaFayette; grandchildren, Jessica, Michael, Brittany, Brooke, Brett, Kelsie, Paul, Jr., Tyler, Chase, and Logan; great grandchildren, Riley, Levi, Ellee, Rylan, Luke, Braden, Mila, and Alea; brothers, Roy Lee (Merita) Brown Jr. of Douglasville, Ga., Rodney Brown, Wayne Brown and Tracy (Lisa) Brown all of LaFayette; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9 in the LaFayette City Cemetery with Pastor Ricky Studdard officiating. Pallbearers are her grandsons. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2PM to 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
