Ella Yancey

JASPER — Ella Bell Yancey, 100, March 18, 1918, departed this life Thursday, Sept. 6, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, Garfield and Mollie Buckner; sisters, Dessie, Hattie, Minnie Lee and Louise; brothers, Andrew, Henry, Willie B.; sons, James and Jimmy Yancey. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter-in-law, Emma Yancey; grandchildren Stacey (Katrice) Yancey, Tanya Yancey, Anthony and Sheila McCurdy; a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and special friend, Mary Lou Myers. Visitation will be Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018 at 11 a.m. CST. A Celebration of life Service will be conducted from the Tate Funeral Home Chapel Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018, at 1 p.m. CST with Pastor George Green officiating.
