Virginia Jo Ramsey

Virginia Jo Ramsey, 86, of Harrison, died on Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2018. She was a lifelong resident of Harrison, Tenn., and a member of New Bethel Baptist Church. Retired from Hamilton County School food services. Preceded in death by her parents, Clyde Foote and Mary Richey Foote and husband, Hoyt E. Ramsey. Survivors include her sister, Gertrude Arnold; three sons, Wayne (Pat) Ramsey, Steve Ramsey, Rod Ramsey; daughter, Dayna Walraven; grandson, Chris (Linda) Walraven; granddaughters, Lisa (James) Parker, Amanda (Jeff) Snyder, Brandy (Craig) Youngblood; great-grandchildren, Xoe Thacker, Logan and Megan Ellis, Brylee and Avery Youngblood and Luke and Cole Snyder; one great-great-grandchild, Madeline Ellis. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Sept. 21, 2018, at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home chapel with Rev. James Hutchins officiating. Interment will follow at Harrison Cemetery. Visitation will be held today, Thursday, Sept. 20, 2018, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Hamilton Funeral home & Cremation Services, 4506 Hixson Pike, Hixson 423-531-3975.
