Herbert Rockholt
DECATUR — Herbert Hoover Rockholt, 90, passed away Sunday, Aug. 11, 2019 at
Laughlin Hospital in Greeneville, Tenn.
He was a lifelong resident of Meigs County and was a son of the late William
Hardin and Ada Kimbrough Rockholt.
He was also preceded in death by his wife
Helen Reed Rockholt, a brother Charles Edward Rockholt.
He was a member of the Decatur United Methodist Church and was associated
with the family Rockholt Furniture Company business in Decatur for 60 years.
Herbert is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Larry Hutsell of
Greeneville, Tenn.; a son and daughter-in-law, Calvin and Wanda Waldrop Rockholt
of Decatur; five granddaughters, Laurel (Robby) Baird, Holly (David) Stallsmith,
Jenny (Josh) Williams, Dr. English Rockholt (Dr.Carlos Torres), and Ashley (Vance)
Dennis; and eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted, 1 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2019, at Decatur United Methodist Church with the Rev. Will Conner and the Rev. David Lonas
officiating. Interment will follow in Decatur Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service.
